Sunshine and milder temperatures this afternoon with highs reaching the upper 50s. Spring officially begins today at 5:45 PM CDT. Expect partly cloudy skies overnight with lows in the middle 30s.
A cold front will pass through southern Wisconsin early on Saturday morning. Partly sunny skies will offset some of the immediate cooling, so high temperatures will only fall back to the upper 40s. As a weather system approaches southern Wisconsin on Sunday, skies will become increasingly cloudy with a slight chance for a rain shower developing by late afternoon. It will be colder with high temperatures in the lower 40s. Rain showers will change to snow showers or flurries on Sunday night as temperatures fall below freezing. Some light snowfall accumulation will be possible by Monday morning.
As the system passes to the east on Monday morning, any flurries will end. Although skies will remain mostly cloudy, some clearing is possible in the afte! rnoon. High temperatures will only reach the upper 30s.
Skies will become increasingly cloudy on Tuesday as a warm front moves through Wisconsin. It will be breezy and milder as high temperatures climb to the lower 50s. Rain showers will develop later Tuesday afternoon or Tuesday night. A storm system will move through Wisconsin on Wednesday, bringing mostly cloudy and mild weather along with welcome rain showers. High temperatures will reach the middle 50s.
After the system passes, a cold front will move through Wisconsin by lat Wednesday afternoon. Any lingering rain showers may mix with flurries late on Wednesday night. Thursday will be variably cloudy, breezy and cooler with any rain showers or flurries ending. High temperatures will fall back to the lower 40s. Friday will be partly sunny and seasonably cool with high temperatures in the middle 40s.
