A low pressure system moving in from the south will bring another round of thunderstorms through the area this evening. Some storms could be severe with large hail and damaging winds being the main threats, but isolated tornadoes will be possible as well, especially southeast of Madison.
As a cold front sweeps through the area tonight, showers and thunderstorms will still be possible, but the severe threat will end. Skies will be variably cloudy on Friday with a chance for showers, mainly in the afternoon. It will be cooler with highs in the lower 50s.
This weekend will be mild again. Saturday will be mostly sunny and pleasant with highs in the lower 60s. Clouds will increase on Sunday and it will be breezy with highs in the middle 60s. Showers and thunderstorms will develop, mainly late in the day and at night.
Next week looks very mild. It will be mostly sunny on Monday with highs in the middle 60s. Tuesday will be partly sunny with highs near 70. Another low pressure system will slowly move through the Midwest for the rest of the week, bringing chances for showers and thunderstorms from late Wednesday through Friday. Temperatures will be near 70 on Wednesday, in the upper 60s Thursday, and near 60 on Friday.
