Skies will become partly sunny this afternoon with breezy northwest winds and highs remaining mild, in the mid 60s.
Colder air will move in behind the storm system, which will bring cooler weather for the end of the week. Skies will be variably cloudy overnight with lows falling into the upper 50s. A low pressure system will pass south of Wisconsin on Friday, bringing variably cloudy skies and a slight chance of showers, mainly for areas south of Madison. High temperatures will drop back to around 50 degrees.
Temperatures will be near normal for Easter weekend. Saturday will be partly sunny and pleasant with high temperatures reaching the middle 50s. A stationary front will develop over the area on Saturday night, bringing mostly cloudy skies, and a chance of rain showers, possibly briefly mixed with sleet early Sunday morning. Easter Sunday will be variably cloudy with a chance of rain showers and highs in the mid 50s.
The stationary front will slowly move northward as a warm front on Monday. Monday will be cloudy and breezy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms. High temperatures will reach the middle 50s once again. Showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue Monday night into Tuesday, with some clearing possible late in the day. Highs Tuesday remain in the mid 50s.
Wednesday will be partly sunny, breezy and pleasant with highs in the mid 50s. Another rain system will develop on Thursday, but stay mainly to the south, bringing another chance of showers to the area and dropping temperatures slightly into the lower 50s. Friday will be partly sunny and pleasant again with highs in the mid 50s.
