A FROST ADVISORY has been issued from midnight until 7 AM Wednesday morning for parts of central, southwestern, south-central and southeastern Wisconsin, including the counties of MONROE, JUNEAU, ADAMS, MARQUETTE, GREEN LAKE, VERNON, RICHLAND, SAUK, COLUMBIA, DODGE, DANE, JEFFERSON, ROCK, and WALWORTH (this includes the Madison metropolitan area).

The Storm Prediction Center says that there is a threat for severe weather for southeastern Minnesota, the eastern half of Iowa, the northwestern third of Illinois, and much of western and southern Wisconsin (south and west of a line from Hayward to Wausau, to Green Bay, to Lake Geneva). A low pressure system in the central Plains will approach the central Midwest on Sunday. Mild to warm and moderately humid air flowing into the Midwest interacting with a cold front, or ongoing thunderstorms ahead of the cold front, may lead to severe thunderstorm development. Strong wind fields may also lead to severe thunderstorms. High winds and hail are the main threats, although isolated tornadoes may be possible. Strong to severe thunderstorms may continue into Sunday night.
