NOTES:
The Storm Prediction Center says that there is a MARGINAL RISK for severe thunderstorms on Saturday and Saturday night across eastern Iowa, far western Illinois, and western Wisconsin (west of a Superior to Wisconsin Dells to Monroe line). There is a SLIGHT RISK for severe thunderstorms across western Minnesota and Iowa. A warm front will move northward through the central Midwest on Saturday. Warm and somewhat humid air will flow northward with the front. Scattered thunderstorms will develop near the warm front, and isolated thunderstorms may become severe, with hail and high winds being the main threats.

There is a SLIGHT RISK for severe thunderstorms on Sunday and Sunday night for eastern Minnesota, the eastern third of Iowa, the northern two-thirds of Illinois, and all of Wisconsin. A low pressure system in the central Plains will approach the central Midwest on Sunday. Mild to warm and moderately humid air flowing into the Midwest interacting with a cold front, or ongoing thunderstorms ahead of the cold front, may lead to severe thunderstorm development. Strong wind fields may also lead to severe thunderstorms. High winds and hail are the main threats, although isolated tornadoes may be possible. The severe weather threat should end with the passage of the cold front on Sunday night.
