Showers and isolated thunderstorms will continue tonight and it will remain milder with lows in the mid 50s. Showers will come to an end early on Friday, with skies becoming partly sunny. It will be warmer and more humid with high temperatures in the middle 70s.

A second warm front will move through the area Friday night into Saturday morning, which will bring in another chance of showers and thunderstorms. Once it passes to the north, it will be warm and humid on Saturday with highs in the lower 80s. There will be another chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon due to the warm and humid conditions and the presence of a low pressure system to the west. NOTES:
The Storm Prediction Center says that there is a MARGINAL RISK of severe weather for southern Wisconsin, eastern Iowa and Northern Illinois on Saturday. After a warm front passes through the area in the morning, the afternoon will be warm and humid leading to a chance of isolated thunderstorms in the afternoon and early evening. The strongest of these should form to the west, but have a chance of moving into the area, with the main risks being high winds and large hail, although isolated tornadoes are possible.

The Storm Prediction Center says that there is a threat for severe weather on Sunday for eastern Minnesota, the eastern half of Iowa, and most of Wisconsin and Illinois. A low pressure system in the central Plains will approach the central Midwest on Sunday. Warm and moderately humid air flowing into the Midwest interacting with a cold front, or ongoing thunderstorms ahead of the cold front, may lead to severe thunderstorm development. Strong wind fields may also lead to severe thunderstorms. High winds and hail are the main threats, although isolated tornadoes may be possible. Strong to severe thunderstorms should end Sunday night.
