A cold front is located just south of Wisconsin this afternoon. More sunshine is expected north of Madison this afternoon, farther away from the front, while more clouds than sunshine is expected south of Madison. An isolated shower or thunderstorm may develop south of Madison this afternoon. Highs today will reach the lower 70s. Tonight will be mostly cloudy and mild with a chance for showers and thunderstorms. Temperatures will fall into the upper 40s by early Tuesday morning.
The chance for showers and thunderstorms will continue Tuesday with the front remaining close to Wisconsin. The best chance for seeing wet weather will be in the morning. Highs will only reach the lower 60s on Tuesday.
A low pressure system will begin to develop to our west on Wednesday, which will bring the front back to the north as a warm front. This will bring partly sunny skies and chances for showers and thunderstorms to the area on Wednesday and Thursday with high temperatures in the upper 70s to around 80.
The low pressure system will move into Wisconsin on Thursday night with showers and thunderstorms becoming likely. Friday will be mostly cloudy and mild with scattered showers and thunderstorms and highs in the upper 70s.
Another low pressure system will follow quickly on the heels of the previous one for the weekend. This will lead to shower and thunderstorm chances for Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures will be cooler, reaching the lower 70s.
