Low pressure building out of the west/southwest will bring a chance for showers and thunderstorms to southern Wisconsin tonight, mainly for areas south of Madison. Patchy fog may develop overnight, and temperatures will fall into the lower 60s by early Thursday. Any showers and thunderstorms will end early Thursday, with variably cloudy skies for the remainder of the day. High temperatures will reach the upper 70s.
A weak wave will move through Wisconsin on Friday with variably cloudy skies and a slight chance for a shower. It will be a little cooler with highs in the middle 70s.
The first half of the weekend looks pleasant with partly sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s. There will be more clouds on Sunday with a chance for showers and thunderstorms. Highs will reach the upper 70s.
Monday will be mostly cloudy with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms; highs will reach the upper 70s. Skies will be partly sunny Tuesday with just a slight chance for a shower. Wednesday looks pleasant with partly sunny skies. High temperatures will reach the middle 70s on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Storm Prediction Center says there is an ENHANCED RISK for severe thunderstorms through tonight across much of eastern Iowa and all of northern Illinois. There is a SLIGHT RISK for severe thunderstorms over the rest of eastern Iowa and far southern Wisconsin, south of a line from Prairie du Chien to Racine. There is a MARGINAL RISK for severe thunderstorms over far southwestern Minnesota and southern Wisconsin (south and west of a La Crosse to Madison to Milwaukee line).
