This afternoon will be mostly sunny and pleasant with highs in the mid to upper 70s. It will be partly cloudy and comfortable tonight with lows in the upper 50s.
Saturday will be partly sunny, warmer, and more humid with high temperatures in the middle 80s. An area of low pressure will move into Wisconsin later Saturday afternoon with showers and thunderstorms developing ahead of a cold front, some of which could be severe. Any showers and thunderstorms will come to an end overnight as the cold front heads to the east. Behind the front, skies will be partly sunny for Sunday and it will become a bit less humid. High temperatures will remain warm, topping out in the lower 80s.
The weather for next week looks somewhat unsettled, as there will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms just about every day. Monday will be variably cloudy and warm with a chance of showers and thunderstorms and high temperatures in the middle 80s. Tuesday is the day most likely to stay dry, with partly sunny skies and high temperatures in the lower 80s. However, as a warm front to the south drifts northward, a chance of showers and thunderstorms will develop on Tuesday night, and continue from Wednesday into Thursday. Skies will be variably cloudy and highs will be in the lower to middle 80s.
Friday will be partly sunny and warm with highs near 80. Another chance of showers and thunderstorms will develop on Saturday with highs remaining near 80.

NOTES:
The Storm Prediction Center says that there is a SLIGHT RISK for severe thunderstorms on Saturday and Saturday night for extreme southeastern Minnesota, the eastern half of Iowa, the northwestern third of Illinois, and the southern half of Wisconsin (south of an Eau Claire to Sheboygan line). There is a MARGINAL RISK for severe thunderstorms across southeastern Minnesota, much of the rest of Iowa, much of the rest of northern Illinois, and much of the rest of Wisconsin away from Lake Superior. Warm and increasingly humid air will be over the central Midwest on Saturday. A cold front will move from Minnesota Saturday afternoon into Iowa, Wisconsin, and Illinois Saturday night. Thunderstorms will form along the cold front, a few of which may become severe. Hail and high winds are the main threats, although an isolated tornado cannot be ruled out. The severe weather threat will end with the passage of the cold front Saturday night.
