NOTES:

There is a MODERATE RISK for a few intense severe thunderstorms this evening and tonight in far west-central Wisconsin, southeast Minnesota and far northeastern Iowa. There is an ENHANCED RISK for a few severe thunderstorms, along with isolated intense severe thunderstorms this evening and tonight for the rest of western Wisconsin (west of Madison), the rest of eastern Iowa and far northwestern Iliinois. There is a SLIGHT RISK for a few severe thunderstorms over the rest of northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin.  A cluster of severe thunderstorms is expected to develop in Minnesota and move toward southern Wisconsin Sunday night. High winds, hail, and heavy rainfall are the main threats, although an isolated tornado threat exists as well, mainly in the late evening. These storms will weaken as they exit the area Monday morning.

There is a MODERATE RISK for a few intense severe thunderstorms tomorrow afternoon and evening for northeastern Illinois. There is an ENHANCED RISK for a few severe thunderstorms along with isolated intense severe thunderstorms for Monday and Monday night for the southern quarter of Wisconsin, far eastern Iowa and western Illinois. There is a SLIGHT RISK for a few severe thunderstorms over the rest of the eastern third of Iowa, and the rest of the southern half of Wisconsin (south of a La Crosse to Wisconsin Dells to Appleton line). There is a MARGINAL RISK for isolated severe thunderstorms for extreme southeastern Minnesota, the rest of the eastern half of Iowa, and most of the northern half of Wisconsin. Severe thunderstorms may be present in extreme southeastern Minnesota, eastern Iowa, southern Wisconsin, and northern Illinois early on Monday morning, with high winds, hail, and heavy rainfall as the main threats. As these storms weaken, they may leave an outflow boundary over the area. As clouds thin and very warm and humid conditions develop, additional severe thunderstorms may develop along this boundary during the afternoon, heading southeastward into eastern Illinois by evening. High winds, hail, and heavy rainfall are the main threats. In addition, a few tornadoes may develop where afternoon severe thunderstorm development takes place, with an isolated strong tornado possible. Also, an intense cluster of severe thunderstorms may then form, resulting in widespread damaging winds as the storms move southeastward through Illinois and Indiana. The ultimate severe weather threat areas for Monday may have to be shifted somewhat north or south, depending on tonight's thunderstorm activity and the position of outflow boundaries on Monday.
