Tonight will be warm and muggy with lows near 70, another chance of thundershowers toward morning and areas of fog developing.
Saturday will be partly sunny, hot, and humid with high temperatures in the lower 90s, with heat index values in the upper 90s to lower 100s. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms early in the day as a line of storms from the west may pass through. Then more showers and thunderstorms will develop in the afternoon or evening, and some of those may be severe. Any lingering showers and thunderstorms should end Saturday night; otherwise, skies will become partly sunny on Sunday during the day. It still will be warm, but will turn less humid. High temperatures will be in the middle 80s.
Monday will be partly sunny and very warm with highs in the middle to upper 80s. Another weak cold front will move through on Tuesday that could generate a couple of showers and thunderstorms. Otherwise, Tuesday will be partly sunny and warm with high temperatures remaining in the middle 80s. Wednesday will be partly sunny and warm with high temperatures in the middle 80s again.
The end of the week will be more humid again. As a warm front moves through Wisconsin, Thursday will be variably cloudy, very warm and more humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will be in the mid 80s with heat index values in the low 90s. After the front passes, Friday will be partly sunny, hot and humid with highs in the lower 90s and heat index values in the middle to upper 90s.
Saturday will also be partly sunny, hot and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly early and again later in the day, highs in the lower 90s and heat index values in the upper 90s to around 100. Sunday will be partly sunny and continued warm, but less humid with highs in the mid 80s.

NOTES:
A HEAT ADVISORY is in effect until 8 PM Saturday evening for north-central and northeastern Illinois, including the counties of WINNEBAGO, BOONE, and McHENRY (this includes the Rockford and Chicago metropolitan areas).
A HEAT ADVISORY has been issued from noon until 8 PM on Saturday evening for south-central, and southeastern Wisconsin, including the counties of: MARQUETTE, GREEN LAKE, SAUK, COLUMBIA, DODGE, IOWA, DANE, JEFFERSON, LAFAYETTE, GREEN, ROCK, and WALWORTH (this includes the Madison and Milwaukee metropolitan areas).
A HEAT ADVISORY has been issued from noon until 7 PM on Saturday evening for extreme eastern Iowa, and northwestern Illinois. In Iowa, this includes the county of DUBUQUE. In Illinois, this includes the counties of JO DAVIESS and STEPHENSON.
The Storm Prediction Center says that there is a SLIGHT RISK for a few severe thunderstorms tonight for the southwestern half of Minnesota, and the northwestern quarter of Iowa. There is a MARGINAL RISK for isolated severe thunderstorms over much of the rest of Minnesota (except for the northeast), the rest of the northern half of Iowa, much of Illinois, and the southwestern half of Wisconsin (south and west of a Superior to Beaver Dam to Milwaukee line). A low pressure system just north of Minnesota with a cold front extending into south Dakota by late tonight will move into a hot and humid air mass. Thunderstorms should develop in the Dakotas and western Minnesota, and a few thunderstorms will become severe, The thunderstorms may form into a squall line as they move to the east-southeast into Wisconsin by late tonight. High winds, hail, and heavy rainfall are the main threats with these thunderstorms before they weaken early on Saturday morning over Wisconsin.
There is a SLIGHT RISK for a few severe thunderstorms Saturday and Saturday night over southeastern Minnesota, most of Iowa, extreme northern Illinois, and the southeastern three-quarters of Wisconsin (south and east of a line from Rochester, MN to Iron River, MI). There is a MARGINAL RISK for isolated severe thunderstorms for the rest of the southeastern third of Minnesota, the rest of Iowa, the rest of the northern third of Illinois, and the rest of Wisconsin. Very warm to hot and quite humid air will be in place across much of the upper Midwest on Saturday. Early morning thunderstorms weakening across Wisconsin may produce a weak outflow boundary over a portion of the area, but clearing skies will allow temperatures to warm quickly during the day, and may wash out the boundary. A low pressure system will move north of Lakes Superior on Saturday, allowing a cold front to enter Minnesota late in the day. As the cold front heads to the southeast Saturday night, thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of it. In addition, if the outflow boundary is still present, thunderstorms may develop along it. High winds, hail, and heavy rain are the main threats, although an isolated tornado may be possible where thunderstorms initially develop on Saturday afternoon or early Saturday evening. The threat for severe weather should end with the passage of the cold front later Saturday night.
