The next work week will remain steamy. Monday will be hot and humid with partly sunny skies. High temperatures will be near 90 degrees with heat index values in the middle to upper 90s. Tuesday will be partly sunny, hot, and humid with high temperatures in the lower 90s and heat index values in the middle 90s to near 100 degrees. A chance of showers and thunderstorms will develop late Tuesday into Tuesday night as a cold front makes its way across the state.
Behind the cold front, Wednesday will be very warm and become less humid as the day wears on. Any showers and thunderstorms will end early before skies become partly sunny. High temperatures will reach the mid to upper 80s with heat index values near 90.
Thursday will partly sunny and warm, but less humid with high temperatures in the lower to middle 80s. Friday will be partly sunny and very warm with highs in the mid to upper 80s.
Over the weekend, Saturday will be very warm and humid with highs near 90 and heat index values reaching the low to mid 90s. There is a chance of showers and thunderstorms on Sunday as a cold front slides into the area. It will be a bit cooler and less humid with highs in the mid 80s.
