The start of the work week will be quite steamy. Today will be very warm and humid with partly sunny skies. There is a slight chance for a shower or thunderstorm, mainly southwest of Madison. High temperatures will reach the middle 80s with heat index values near 90. Tuesday will be variably cloudy, very warm, and humid with high temperatures in the upper 80s and heat index values in the 90s. Showers and thunderstorms will develop Tuesday, especially late in the day. Showers and thunderstorms will continue Tuesday night as a cold front pushes across Wisconsin. Behind the cold front, Wednesday will be partly sunny and turning less humid with highs reaching the lower 80s. 

Thursday will partly sunny and continued warm, with high temperatures in the lower 80s. Friday will be partly sunny and warmer with highs in the middle 80s.

Over the weekend, Saturday will be very warm and more humid with highs approaching 90 degrees, and heat index values reaching the lower to middle 90s. A cold front moving through the region will cause showers and thunderstorms to develop later Saturday afternoon and Saturday night. Any showers will end early Sunday, and it will be partly sunny, a little cooler, and less humid behind the front. Highs will reach the lower 80s.
