This afternoon will be mostly cloudy, and it will become breezy with showers and scattered thunderstorms developing. High temperatures will be in the middle 70s. Showers and thunderstorms will continue this evening, but diminish overnight. Humidity will increase considerably overnight and patchy fog is possible toward daybreak with temperatures falling to the upper 60s.
Friday will be partly sunny, hot, and humid with just a slight chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will be near 90 degrees, with heat index readings in the middle 90s. Saturday will also be partly sunny, hot, and humid with isolated showers and thunderstorms developing in the afternoon; high temperatures will be in the lower 90s, with heat index values in the upper 90s to lower 100s. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue Saturday night into early Sunday as a weak cold front moves through. Sunday will be variably cloudy and still warm and humid with highs in the mid 80s and heat index values in the lower 90s.
The weak cold front will then sink to the south for Monday, leading to warm and a bit less humid conditions with high temperatures in the middle 80s. Tuesday will be variably cloudy and warm with high temperatures in the middle 80s and a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon.
Hot and humid conditions will return later next week. Wednesday will be partly sunny, warm and humid with highs in the upper 80s and heat index values near 90. Thursday will be partly sunny, hot and humid with a chance of showers and thunderstorms late in the day. Highs will be near 90 with heat index values in the mid 90s. Friday will also be partly sunny, hot and humid with a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms again. Highs will be in the lower 90s with heat index values in the mid to upper 90s.

NOTES:
The Storm Prediction Center says that there is MARGINAL RISK for severe thunderstorms today and tonight for much of Iowa and Illinois, and far southern Wisconsin (south of line from Prairie du Chien to Waukesha to Kenosha). A warm front will be lifting northeastward from Iowa and Missouri this morning into southern Wisconsin to night. Showers and thunderstorms are likely along and ahead of the front. Drier air across Wisconsin and cool temperatures because of widespread cloud cover north of the front will limit atmospheric instability. Isolated severe thunderstorms may be possible, with hail and high winds the main threats. An isolated tornado may be possible in a storm near the warm front in the late afternoon or evening. The severe weather threat will end as the warm front lifts into Michigan later tonight.
