This afternoon will be variably cloudy, very warm, and humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms ending, mainly west of Madison. High temperatures will be in the middle and upper 80s with heat index values in the lower to middle 90s. More showers and thunderstorms will move through tonight along a cold front as lows stay near 70.
Behind the cold front, any showers will end early Wednesday and it will become partly sunny and less humid with highs reaching the lower 80s. Thursday will be mostly sunny and warm with high temperatures in the middle 80s. Friday will be partly sunny and continued warm with highs in the middle 80s again.
Saturday will be partly sunny and very warm with highs in the middle 80s once again. A cold front moving into the region will cause showers and thunderstorms to develop Saturday night. These will continue on Sunday, and it will be very warm and humid with highs in the mid to upper 80s and heat index values into the lower 90s.
Temperatures will then remain in the lower to middle 80s early next week with slight chances of showers Monday and Wednesday.
