Tonight will be partly cloudy with areas of fog forming overnight. Temperatures will fall to the middle to upper 60s by late evening; overnight low temperatures will fall to around 60 degrees by morning.
Monday will be mostly sunny, much warmer, and more humid. High temperatures will be in the middle to upper 80s, with afternoon heat index values in the lower to middle 90s.
Very warm to hot, humid and most likely, rain free weather is expected through the rest of the week into much of the holiday weekend. A ridge of high pressure will remain over much of the country, leading to summer-like weather. It will be partly sunny with high temperatures near 90 degrees, while heat index values continue in the middle to upper 90s every day from Tuesday through Sunday.
The Labor Day weekend will continue with well above-normal temperatures. Saturday and Sunday will be partly sunny, very warm, and humid with high temperatures in the upper 80s, and heat index values in the middle 90s. As a cold front approaches from the northwest, a chance for showers and thunderstorms will develop from late Sunday afternoon or Sunday night into Labor Day Monday. On Labor Day, a little more cloud cover will keep high temperatures in the lower to middle 80s.
