This afternoon will be be variably cloudy, breezy, warm, and more humid with high temperatures in the middle to upper 80s. Heat index values will be near 90 degrees. A weak cold front will pass through Wisconsin later today through Friday, generating a slight chance for showers or a thunderstorm, mainly north of Dane county. Highs Friday will be near 90 and heat index values will be in the mid 90s.
The weekend looks dry, as Saturday and Sunday will both be partly sunny, hot and humid with highs near or slightly above 90 and heat index values in the mid to upper 90s.
A cold front will push into Wisconsin Sunday night through Monday, generating a chance for showers and thunderstorms. Monday will be warm and becoming less humid with high temperatures in the lower 80s. Tuesday looks mainly dry with partly sunny skies as a brief ridge of high pressure moves through the Midwest. Highs will dip into the upper 70s. Another chance for showers and thunderstorms will develop Wednesday as low pressure builds in from the west. Depending on the exact track of the system, this may be our best chance for seeing widespread rain over the next week. Highs will bounce back into the lower 80s
Later next week, another surge of very warm air will move in as a warm front passes by. There will be a slight chance of showers and thunderstorms Thursday into Friday and it will be very warm and humid with highs near 90 again and heat index values in the lower to middle 90s.
