NOTES:
The Storm Prediction Center says that there is a SLIGHT RISK for severe thunderstorms on Thursday and Thursday night across eastern Minnesota, northeastern Iowa, and the northwestern half of Wisconsin (north and west of a Darlington to Madison to Green Bay line). There is a MARGINAL RISK for severe thunderstorms for most of the east of Minnesota, most of the rest of Iowa, northwestern Illinois, and the rest of Wisconsin.

Unseasonably warm air along with increasing humidity will be found over the upper Midwest on Thursday. An advancing cold front moving through Minnesota will move into Iowa and Wisconsin in the afternoon, reaching southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois later Thursday night. Thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the cold front. Rather strong wind fields at all levels mean that a few severe thunderstorms are possible, with hail and high winds being the main threats, although an isolated tornado or two cannot be ruled out. The severe weather threat will diminish with the loss of heating later Thursday night, and should end with the passage of the cold front late Thursday night.
