Well above-normal temperatures will persist into the Labor Day weekend. Saturday and Sunday will be partly sunny, very warm to hot, and humid with high temperatures near 90 degrees and heat index values in the lower to middle 90s. As a cold front approaches from the northwest, a chance for showers and thunderstorms will develop from late Sunday night into Labor Day Monday. Monday will be variably cloudy and humid, but not quite as warm with high temperatures in the lower 80s.
Behind the cold front, Tuesday should be partly sunny, not as warm, and less humid with high temperatures in the upper 70s. Showers and thunderstorms will develop from Tuesday night into Wednesday. Wednesday will be mostly cloudy and cooler with high temperatures in the middle 70s.
