Labor Day will be variably cloudy, warm, and humid. A cold front will stall out across southern Wisconsin or northern Illinois with chances for showers and thunderstorms. High temperatures will reach the lower 80s. The front will begin to lift back to the north Monday night as a wave of low pressure slides through the region. Showers and thunderstorms will become numerous Monday night, and low temperatures will fall into the upper 60s.
Tuesday will be mostly cloudy and humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms continuing as the low lifts to the northeast. High temperatures will reach the middle to upper 70s.
Behind the early week system, Wednesday will be partly sunny, a little cooler, and less humid with high temperatures in the middle 70s. Cloud cover will increase Thursday as a weak low pressure system builds into Wisconsin. A chance for showers and thunderstorms will develop, mainly late in the day. Highs on Thursday will reach the middle 70s. Friday looks much cooler with partly sunny skies and highs in the middle to upper 60s.
The cooler weather will stick around next weekend. Saturday will be partly sunny and pleasant with highs in the middle to upper 60s. Sunday will be partly sunny and a tad milder with highs near 70 degrees. A chance for showers and thunderstorms will develop Sunday night.
