Tonight will be partly cloudy, mild, and muggy with patchy fog possible overnight. Temperatures will fall to the middle 70s by late evening; overnight low temperatures will fall to around 70 degrees by morning.
More of the same weather is expected on Wednesday, with partly sunny, hot and humid conditions with high temperatures around 90 degrees, and afternoon heat index values in the middle to upper 90s. As a weak wind shift drops through Wisconsin, there is a slight chance for a shower or thunderstorm in the late afternoon into Wednesday night.
A ridge of high pressure will remain over much of the country for the rest of the week, continuing the summer-like weather. It will be partly sunny with high temperatures near 90 degrees, while heat index values continue in the middle to upper 90s every day for Thursday and Friday.
The Labor Day weekend will continue with well above-normal temperatures. Saturday and Sunday will be partly sunny, very warm, and humid with high temperatures in the upper 80s, and heat index values in the middle 90s. As a cold front approaches from the northwest, a chance for showers and thunderstorms will develop from late Sunday afternoon or Sunday night into Labor Day Monday. On Labor Day, a little more cloud cover will keep high temperatures in the lower 80s.
Behind the cold front, Tuesday should be partly sunny, cooler, and less humid with high temperatures in the middle 70s.
