It will be variably cloudy and cooler this afternoon with showers and thunderstorms moving in from the southwest again. Highs will be in the mid 70s. Showers and thunderstorms will then continue to move through the area overnight, bringing some heavy rains at times. There is a Flash Flood Watch in effect for areas south of Madison overnight due to the rain on top of the significant rain we received last night. Lows will be in the mid 50s.
Showers will move east of Wisconsin early on Saturday morning. Skies will become mostly sunny with winds decreasing. It will be even cooler, with high temperatures only reaching the upper 60s. After a chilly Saturday night with temperatures falling into the middle 40s, mostly sunny skies are expected on Sunday. High temperatures will be in the lower 70s.
Nice weather will continue into much of next week. Monday will be mostly sunny and pleasant with high temperatures in the middle 70s. Tuesday will be partly sunny and very mild with high temperatures in the upper 70s. Wednesday will be partly sunny and warm with high temperatures around 80 degrees.
Thursday will be partly sunny, breezy and warm with highs near 80 again and a slight chance of isolated showers that will linger into Friday. Friday and Saturday will be mild again with highs in the upper 70s.
