Skies will become mostly clear tonight and temperatures will fall to the upper 30s by early Wednesday morning. Patchy frost is possible, mainly in areas north of Madison. Wednesday will be mostly sunny and not as cool with highs returning to the lower 60s.
A cold front will move through the state on Thursday with partly sunny skies and a chance for isolated showers. Highs will remain in the lower 60s. Behind the front, skies will be clearing late Thursday night, and some patchy frost will be possible as lows drop into the middle 30s. Friday will be partly sunny, breezy, and much cooler with highs in the lower 50s. Frost or a hard freeze will be likely Friday night as temperatures fall into the middle 20s.
Saturday will be mostly sunny, but unseasonably cool with highs in the upper 40s. Frost or a hard freeze will be likely again Saturday night as temperatures fall into the upper 20s. Winds will shift out of the south on Sunday and will become breezy. Highs will return to the middle 50s under mostly sunny skies.
Early next week it will be mild again and shower chances will develop. Monday will be variably cloudy, windy, and milder with a slight chance for showers. Tuesday will be variably cloudy, breezy, and mild with a chance for showers. Highs will reach the middle 60s Monday and Tuesday.
