The reticulated giraffe, born Sept. 16, was named Tafari, a word from African origin meaning "he who inspires awe," according to the zoo. The zoo invited visitors to choose their favorite name for the youngster through online voting on the zoo's website. The zoo said it received more than 5,000 votes for five name choices.
