Skies will become mostly clear tonight, and it will be colder with diminishing winds. Temperatures will fall to the lower 30s by late evening; overnight low temperatures will fall to the lower 20s by morning.

Partly sunny skies on Friday will become mostly cloudy in the afternoon, and light snow will develop southwest of Madison later in the day as a winter storm approaches Wisconsin. High temperatures with reach the upper 30s.

A winter storm will impact southern Wisconsin from Friday night into Saturday. Occasional snow on Friday night should accumulate from 1-4" by early Saturday morning, with the heaviest amounts down toward the Illinois state line. Additional snow accumulations of 1-4" will be possible Saturday morning before it tapers to flurries and ends from west to east. Total storm accumulations will range from 2-4" north of Madison to 4-8" south of Madison. This storm will be very compact, so any wobble in its track could alter projected snow totals. Skies will begin clearing from west to east Saturday afternoon. It will be windy and cold with high temperatures around 30 degrees. Sunday will be mostly sunny and continued cold with high temperatures again near 30 degrees. 

Temperatures will become more seasonable next week. Monday will be partly sunny and not as cold as high temperatures near 40 degrees. Tuesday will be partly sunny and breezy with high temperatures again near 40 degrees.

Wednesday with be variably cloudy, breezy, and milder with a slight chance for rain showers. High temperatures will reach the middle 40s. Thanksgiving Day will be mostly cloudy, windy, and mild with scattered rain showers. High temperatures will reach the middle to upper 40s. Friday will be mostly cloudy, breezy, and turning colder with scattered rain showers. High temperatures will reach the middle 40s early Friday, but will hold steady or fall in the afternoon.

In Iowa, this includes the counties of ALLAMAKEE, DELAWARE and DUBUQUE. In Illinois, this includes the counties of JO DAVIESS and STEPHENSON. In Wisconsin, this includes the county of GRANT.

A WINTER STORM WATCH has been issued from 6 PM Friday evening until noon Saturday for extreme northeastern Iowa and part of southwestern Wisconsin. In Iowa, this includes the county of ALLAMAKEE. In Wisconsin, this includes the counties of: RICHLAND and CRAWFORD.

A WINTER STORM WATCH has been issued from 9 PM Friday evening until 3 PM Saturday afternoon for northeastern Illinois, including the county of McHENRY (this includes the Chicago metropolitan area).

A WINTER STORM WATCH has been issued from 9 PM Friday evening until 6 PM Saturday evening for part of southeastern Wisconsin, including the counties of JEFFERSON and WALWORTH (this includes the Milwaukee metropolitan area).
