NOTES:
The Storm Prediction Center says that there is a MARGINAL RISK for severe thunderstorms for tonight for extreme southeastern Minnesota, the eastern half of Iowa, all of Illinois, and the southern half of Wisconsin (south of a Rochester, MN to Wausau to Green Bay line). Unseasonably mild and somewhat humid air covers the Midwest ahead of an approaching low pressure system and cold front. Scattered showers and thunderstorms along and just ahead of the front in Minnesota and Iowa will move into Wisconsin and Illinois tonight. Very strong wind fields and some wind shear may lead to isolated severe thunderstorms. The main threats will be high winds, although some hail and an isolated brief tornado cannot be ruled out, mainly across Illinois. The severe weather threat will diminish after sunset, and end with the passage of the cold front.
