A low pressure system will move away to the northeast today. It will be mostly cloudy, very windy, and cooler with showers gradually ending. High temperatures will reach the upper 40s early in the day, then hold nearly steady or slowly fall through the 40s during the day. Winds may gust as strong as 45 MPH during the day.

In the wake of the storm system, Friday will be variably cloudy, windy, and chilly with high temperatures only reaching the lower 40s. There is a slight chance of light rain or snow showers from Thursday night into Friday morning.

Milder weather will move quickly back into southern Wisconsin for the weekend into early next week. Saturday will be mostly sunny, breezy, and milder with high temperatures in the lower 50s. Sunday will be mostly sunny, breezy, and mild with high temperatures in the upper 50s.

Monday will be mostly cloudy, windy, and mild with scattered showers developing as another strong low pressure system approaches the area. High temperatures will remain in the middle 50s. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy, breezy, and mild with scattered showers and high temperatures in the middle 50s again. Scattered showers and mostly cloudy skies will continue into Wednesday. It will turn breezy and cooler with high temperatures around 50 degrees, with temperatures falling back into the 40s during the afternoon.

In Wisconsin, this includes the counties of MONROE, JUNEAU, ADAMS, VERNON, RICHLAND, CRAWFORD, and GRANT. In Iowa, this includes the counties of ALLAMAKEE, CLAYTON, DELAWARE and DUBUQUE. In Illinois, this includes the counties of JO DAVIESS, STEPHENSON, WINNEBAGO, BOONE, and McHENRY (this includes the Rockford and Chicago metropolitan areas).

A WIND ADVISORY has been issued from 6 AM this morning until 6 PM this evening for parts of south-central and southeastern Wisconsin, including the counties of IOWA, DANE, JEFFERSON, LAFAYETTE, GREEN, ROCK, and WALWORTH (this includes the La Crosse, Madison, and Milwaukee metropolitan areas).

A WIND ADVISORY has been issued from 9 AM this morning until 6 PM this evening for parts of east-central, south-central, and southeastern Wisconsin, including the counties of MARQUETTE, GREEN LAKE, SAUK, COLUMBIA, and DODGE.
