A strong fall storm system will move into Wisconsin today, passing over southern Wisconsin tonight, and moving into Michigan on Thursday. This afternoon will be mostly cloudy, windy, and mild. Showers and thunderstorms will develop, mainly late this afternoon and this evening. High temperatures will be in the upper 50s. Showers and thunderstorms this evening will diminish to showers overnight and lows will stay mild, in the lower 40s.
On Thursday, the low pressure system will move away to the northeast with showers coming to an end. Thursday will be mostly cloudy, very windy, and cooler with high temperatures in the upper 40s and westerly winds gusting as high as 45 mph. In the wake of the storm system, Friday will be variably cloudy, windy, and chilly with high temperatures only reaching the lower 40s. There is a slight chance for flurries from Thursday night into Friday morning.
Milder weather will move quickly back into southern Wisconsin for the weekend into early next week. Saturday will be mostly sunny, breezy, and milder with high temperatures in the lower to middle 50s. Sunday will be mostly sunny, breezy, and mild with high temperatures in the upper 50s.
Monday will be increasingly cloudy, windy, and mild with a chance of showers as another strong low pressure system approaches the area. High temperatures will remain in the mid to upper 50s. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy, windy, and mild with scattered showers and high temperatures in the middle 50s.
Scattered showers will continue into Wednesday, and it will remain mild with highs in the lower 50s. Skies will finally clear out on Thursday, and highs will be near 50.

A WIND ADVISORY has been issued from 9 AM Thursday morning until 6 PM Thursday evening for parts of east-central, south-central, and southeastern Wisconsin, including the counties of MARQUETTE, GREEN LAKE, SAUK, COLUMBIA, and DODGE.
The Storm Prediction Center says that there is an ENHANCED RISK for severe thunderstorms across southeastern Iowa and west-central Illinois for today and tonight. In addition, there is a SLIGHT RISK for severe thunderstorms across rest of the southern half of Iowa, the rest of Illinois, and extreme southern Wisconsin (south of a Prairie du Chien to Janesville to Kenosha line); and a MARGINAL RISK for severe thunderstorms for extreme southeastern Minnesota, the rest of Iowa, and the rest of the southern half of Wisconsin (south of a Rochester, MN to Wausau to Green Bay line). A developing strong storm system will track from Kansas through Iowa and into southern Wisconsin by tonight. Mild and increasingly humid air will be transported northward on strong southerly winds into the central Midwest ahead of the storm. A cold front will swing eastward from Iowa into Wisconsin and Illinois from late this afternoon into tonight as the storm moves through southern Wisconsin. Thunderstorms will develop along and ahead of the cold front, and some may become severe, especially from southern Iowa into Illinois, where there is a threat for a few tornadoes, high winds, and hail. Farther northward into northern Iowa and southern Wisconsin, the main threat will be from high winds, and perhaps some hail. The severe weather threat will end with the passage of the cold front tonight.
