A low pressure system will move away to the northeast today. It will be mostly cloudy, very windy, and cooler with any showers or drizzle ending this afternoon. High temperatures will reach the upper 40s, then hold nearly steady the rest of the afternoon. Winds may gust as strong as 45 MPH. It will remain mostly cloudy and windy tonight with a slight chance of an isolated flurry and lows dropping into the low to mid 30s.
In the wake of the storm system, Friday will be variably cloudy, windy, and seasonably cool with high temperatures only reaching the lower to middle 40s.
Milder weather will move quickly back into southern Wisconsin for the weekend into early next week. Saturday will be mostly sunny, breezy, and milder with high temperatures in the lower to middle 50s. Sunday will be mostly sunny, breezy, and mild with high temperatures in the upper 50s.
Monday will be mostly cloudy, windy, and mild with scattered showers developing as another strong low pressure system approaches the area. High temperatures will be in the middle 50s. Tuesday will be cloudy, windy, and mild with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms and high temperatures back into the upper 50s again. Wednesday will remain mostly cloudy, windy and mild with scattered showers and highs in the mid 50s.
The system will move away on Thursday, and it will be breezy and cooler with a slight chance of a few isolated showers and highs near 50. Friday will be partly sunny, breezy and chilly as lows drop back near 40.
