A strong storm system developing in Colorado will gradually head toward Wisconsin through the middle of the week. This afternoon will be mostly cloudy, breezy, and mild with scattered showers developing. The chance for showers will continue tonight with temperatures only falling to the upper 40s. Showers and isolated thunderstorms are likely Tuesday, and winds will be quite strong. Winds may gust to 30 MPH or higher at times. Shower chances will continue on Wednesday and winds will remain strong. Highs will reach the middle to upper 50s today through Wednesday.
As the low pressure system moves away from Wisconsin on Thursday, colder air will start to invade the region. Thursday will be variably cloudy, windy, and colder with highs in the middle 40s. Friday will be partly sunny, breezy, and even colder with highs near 40 degrees. There is some uncertainty in the track of a storm for the end of the week, but it may bring a chance for rain or snow showers to southern Wisconsin Friday night into Saturday. The weekend will remain quite chilly. Any snow showers will come to an end Saturday morning with breezy winds and highs in the middle to upper 30s. Sunday will be another chilly day with highs in the upper 30s.
