Southerly winds will bring warm air into southern Wisconsin this afternoon. It will be mostly sunny and quite mild with highs approaching 70 degrees. Tonight will be mostly clear and comfortable with lows in the upper 40s.

Winds out of the south to southwest will continue to pump very mild air into the region Tuesday and Wednesday. Skies will be mostly sunny Tuesday and partly sunny on Wednesday. Highs will be near 70 degrees each day. We will be near the record high of 72 for Madison on Wednesday.

An area of low pressure will travel along that front and through the area Thursday night and Friday morning. Showers will come to an end by midday Friday as the wave of low pressure heads east. The remainder of Friday will become partly sunny and much cooler with highs in the lower 50s.
