Today, snow will taper to flurries and end from west to east by late morning into the afternoon. Additional snow accumulations of around 1-2" southeast of Madison will still fall this morning before the accumulating snow ends. Total storm accumulations will range from 1-4" north of Madison to 4-12"+ south of Madison (with the heaviest amounts near the Illinois state line). Skies will begin to turn partly sunny from west to east by this afternoon, especially in areas west of Madison. It will be breezy and cold with high temperatures around 30 degrees.

Tonight with clear skies, light winds, and fresh snow cover, temperatures will drop to around 20 degrees by late evening. Overnight low temperatures will fall to near 10 degrees by morning.

Sunday will be partly sunny and continued cold with high temperatures around 30 degrees. 

Temperatures will become more seasonable next week. Monday will be partly sunny and not as cold as high temperatures around 40 degrees. Tuesday will be partly sunny and breezy with high temperatures in the lower 40s.

Another storm system will affect Wisconsin from Wednesday through Friday. Wednesday with be variably cloudy, breezy, and mild with a slight chance for rain showers. High temperatures will reach the middle to upper 40s. Thanksgiving Day will be mostly cloudy, windy, and mild with occasional rain showers. High temperatures will reach the upper 40s. Friday will be mostly cloudy, windy, and turning colder as a cold front moves through the state. The scattered rain showers will end with the passage of the front. High temperatures will reach the middle 40s early Friday, but will hold steady or fall back into the 30s in the afternoon. 

Colder air will return for next weekend. Saturday will be variably cloudy, windy, and colder with a chance for flurries. High temperatures will be in the lower to middle 30s. Sunday will be partly sunny and cold with high temperatures in the lower 30s.
