Skies will be mostly sunny this afternoon, and it will be unseasonably mild again. High temperatures will reach the lower 70s, near record high temperature levels. The record high for Madison on Tuesday is 76 degrees set in 1964. It will be partly cloudy and quite mild tonight with lows near 50.
Wednesday will be another unseasonably mild day. Skies will be partly sunny and it will be breezy as well. High temperatures will reach the lower 70s. The record high temperature for Wednesday is 72 degrees set in 2008, and certainly is in danger of being broken.
A cold front will approach Wisconsin on Thursday, and as it does, skies will become mostly cloudy, it will become windy, and showers will develop late in the day or overnight. It will remain very mild with highs in the upper 60s. The record high temperature for Madison on Thursday is 71 degrees set in 2008.
An area of low pressure will move through the area Thursday night and Friday, dragging a cold front through southern Wisconsin. Showers will end early on Friday, but much colder air will move in along gusty westerly winds. Highs will be in the lower to middle 50s early in the day, then temperatures will hold steady or slowly fall through the day. Some clearing is possible late..
High pressure will build across Wisconsin for the weekend with dry weather expected. Skies will be partly sunny Saturday with high temperatures reaching the middle 40s. Sunday will be mostly sunny and breezy as the high pressure system heads to the east; high temperatures will return to the middle 50s.
Monday will be partly sunny, breezy, and seasonably mild with high temperatures in the middle 50s and a slight chance of isolated showers. Tuesday will be partly sunny, breezy, and mild again with highs remaining in the mid 50s.
Our next big weather system will move in on Wednesday. It will be mostly cloudy, windy and unseasonably mild with highs near 60 and showers developing as the system approaches.
