Tonight will be variably cloudy and quite mild. Temperatures will fall to the lower 40s by late evening; overnight low temperatures around 40 degrees by morning.

Thursday will be variably cloudy, windy, and unseasonably mild. High temperatures will be in the lower to middle 50s; the record high temperature for Madison is 55 degrees, set in 1911.

Friday will be partly sunny, and it will remain very mild with high temperatures near 50. 

A strong storm system will affect Wisconsin over the weekend. Skies on Saturday will be mostly cloudy, breezy, and unseasonably mild, and there will be a chance for some late day showers. High temperatures will remain in the lower 50s, near Madison's record high temperature of 53 degrees set in 1991. Showers will become likely from Saturday night into Sunday. Sunday will be mostly cloudy, windy and not as mild with high temperatures in the middle 40s.

Unsettled weather will linger into Monday with mostly cloudy skies and rain and snow showers. It will be windy and colder with high temperatures in the upper 30s.

Tuesday will be variably cloudy, becoming windy, and a little milder with high temperatures back in the lower 40s. As a cold front moves through on Tuesday night, and a strong area of low pressure passes to our north, Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, windy, and colder with a chance for snow showers and flurries; high temperatures will drop back to the lower 30s.
