Friday will be variably cloudy, and it will remain very mild with high temperatures near 50.
A strong storm system will affect Wisconsin over the weekend. Saturday will be mostly cloudy and very mild again with a chance of some isolated showers ahead of the system. High temperatures will rise back into the lower 50s, near Madison's record high temperature of 53 degrees set in 1991. Showers will become likely from Saturday night through Sunday. Sunday will be mostly cloudy, breezy and unseasonably mild with high temperatures in the lower to middle 50s.
Unsettled weather will linger into Monday with mostly cloudy skies, windy conditions and rain showers continuing, mainly early in the day. Highs will drop back into the lower 40s.
Tuesday will be variably cloudy, becoming windy, and still mild with high temperatures in the lower 40s again. As a cold front moves through on Tuesday night, and a strong area of low pressure passes to our north, Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, breezy, and colder with a chance of light snow showers and flurries; high temperatures will drop back to the lower 30s.
It will be partly sunny and much more seasonably cold late in the week with partly sunny skies Thursday and Friday and highs near 30.
