A strong storm system will affect Wisconsin over the weekend, driving temperatures to near or above record high temperature marks. Today will be mostly cloudy and unseasonably mild with fog, drizzle, and a slight chance for rain showers. High temperatures in the lower to middle 50s will be near or above the record high temperature of 53 degrees set in 1991.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy and unseasonably mild with drizzle and fog. It will become breezy with showers and isolated thunderstorms developing toward morning. Overnight low temperatures will be in the upper 40s to around 50 degrees, well above the record warmest low temperature of 43 set back in 1920.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy, windy and unseasonably mild again withshowers and isolated thunderstorms. High temperatures will be in the upper 50s to near 60 degrees. The record high temperature of 57 set in 1975 is also in jeopardy.

Unsettled weather will linger into Monday with mostly cloudy skies, windy conditions and scattered rain showers. High temperatures will drop back into the middle to upper 40s, with temperatures holding steady or slowly falling in the afternoon.

Tuesday will be variably cloudy, becoming breezy, and still mild with high temperatures in the middle 40s. As a cold front moves through on Tuesday night and a strong area of low pressure passes to our north, Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, breezy, and a little colder with a chance of a few flurries; high temperatures will drop back to the upper 30s with slowly falling afternoon temperatures.

More typical December weather will move in for a few days later next week with variably cloudy skies and high temperatures near 30 degrees on Thursday, a chance for flurries Thursday night, and partly sunny skies with high temperatures in the upper 20s on Friday and near 30 Saturday. Things will begin to warm up again on Sunday with partly sunny skies, windy conditions and high temperatures back near 40 degrees.
