Colder weather will return for the weekend. Saturday will be mostly cloudy and turn windy and colder in the afternoon with snow showers and flurries. High temperatures will reach the lower 30s in the morning before temperatures fall back through the 20s in the afternoon. Sunday will be variably cloudy, windy, and colder with a chance for flurries. High temperatures will only reach the lower to middle teens.
The coldest air of the winter will continue to affect southern Wisconsin through the middle of next week. Low temperatures on Monday morning may fall into the single digits below zero, and wind chills could drop to -5 to -20. Monday will be partly sunny, breezy, and quite cold with high temperatures in the lower teens. Tuesday will be continued very cold with temperatures starting near zero, and wind chills as cold as -5 to -20. The rest of Tuesday will be variably cloudy and breezy with a chance for snow showers and flurries. High temperatures will reach the middle teens. Wednesday will be another very cold day with partly sunny skies and breezy winds. Temperatures will start near zero with wind chills as cold as -5 to -20 in the morning. High temperatures will only reach the lower teens.
