The first day of 2016 will be mostly cloudy and continued cold with high temperatures in the middle 20s. 

Skies will be partly cloudy for Friday night, and it will be seasonably cold. Temperatures will fall to the upper teens by late evening; overnight low temperatures will fall to the lower teens by morning.

Quiet and seasonably cold weather is expected for the first weekend of the New Year. Saturday will be partly sunny and not quite as cold with high temperatures in the lower 30s. Sunday will be mostly sunny and seasonably cold with high temperatures in the upper 20s.

Quiet weather will continue into the middle of next week. Monday will be mostly sunny with high temperatures in the middle 20s. Tuesday and Wednesday will be partly sunny with high temperatures reaching the upper 20s on Tuesday and the lower 30s on Wednesday. A chance for flurries will develop Wednesday night.

Thursday will be variably cloudy with a chance for flurries; high temperatures will be in the lower to middle 30s. Friday will be mostly cloudy and seasonably cold with scattered flurries; high temperatures will be in the lower 30s.

A storm system passing to our south may bring light snow from Friday night into Saturday of next weekend. Saturday will be mostly cloudy, windy, and colder as well as high temperatures drop back to the middle 20s. Sunday will be partly sunny and cold with high temperatures in the lower 20s.
