This afternoon will be breezy with skies becoming mostly cloudy again as another fast moving low pressure system moves by to the north. A slight chance of flurries will develop by this evening north of Madison.  Scattered flurries or light snow showers and breezy conditions will continue tonight. Flurries will be mainly north of Madison with low temperatures holding steady near 30.

Thursday will be mostly cloudy with scattered flurries, mainly early in the day. Highs will be in the lower to middle 30s. Skies will become mostly cloudy again on Friday, and it will be breezy with high temperatures reaching the middle 30s. There is a chance of drizzle or freezing drizzle late in the day that will mix with flurries or light snow overnight. 

Above-normal temperatures are expected for the weekend. Skies will become partly sunny on Saturday with high temperatures in the upper 30s to around 40. Sunday will be mostly cloudy and mild with a chance of light rain or freezing rain later in the day, changing to light snow overnight. Highs will be in the upper 30s again.

The unsettled pattern continues next week. Monday will be variably cloudy and a little colder with highs in the lower 30s. On Tuesday, a major winter storm will move into the area, but the timing and placement are uncertain. It will be windy with likely a mix of rain and snow to start, then becoming all snow later in the day. Once the snow starts, significant snowfall is possible through Tuesday night.

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, windy and much colder with scattered light snow or flurries continuing and highs in the lower 20s. Skies will become partly sunny and Thursday, but it will be breezy and cold with highs near 20.
