A cold front will continue to head to the south this afternoon with mostly cloudy skies and patchy light rain and snow showers ending. Highs will reach the upper 30s, but temperatures will hold steady or fall slightly. Skies will become partly cloudy tonight. Temperatures will fall into the middle teens by early Friday morning.

Friday will start with partly sunny skies in the morning, but clouds will increase in the afternoon. Highs will reach the middle 30s. Friday night will be mostly cloudy and breezy with a light mix of freezing drizzle, sleet, and flurries. Temperatures will fall to around 30 degrees by early Saturday morning.

Above normal temperatures are expected for the weekend. Skies will become partly sunny on Saturday with high temperatures in the lower 40s. Clouds will increase Saturday night with a chance for drizzle developing late at night. Sunday will be mostly cloudy and mild with scattered light rain, possibly changing to light freezing drizzle or flurries at night. Highs will be near 40, but temperatures may fall late Sunday.

The unsettled pattern continues next week. Monday will be variably cloudy and a little colder with highs in the lower to middle 30s. On Tuesday, a major winter storm will move into the area, but the timing and placement are uncertain. It will be windy with likely a mix of rain and snow to start, then becoming all snow later in the day. Once the snow starts, some accumulation is likely through Tuesday night.

Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, windy, and much colder with snow tapering to flurries. Highs will reach the lower 20s, with temperatures holding steady or slowly falling through the day.
