Any light snow showers and flurries will end early this morning. Only minor accumulations possible in SW Wisconsin. Skies will become mostly sunny toay, and it will be breezy and turn colder in the afternoon as a cold front sweeps through the state. High temperatures will top out in the middle to upper teens around noon, with temperatures falling back to the middle teens by late afternoon.
Another shot of bitterly cold air will arrive tonight into Saturday. Low temperatures on Saturday morning will drop to the middle single digits below zero, while wind chills become as cold as -10 to -25. Saturday will be mostly sunny and bitterly cold with high temperatures struggling to get out of the single digits.
After low temperatures fall to around zero very early Sunday morning, temperatures will begin to rise. Sunday will be mostly cloudy and breezy with light snow developing. High temperatures will return to near 20 degrees. Minor snowfall accumulations of 1-4" are possible through Sunday night.
Next week, temperatures will begin to moderate. Monday will be mostly cloudy and not as cold with a few flurries and high temperatures in the upper 20s. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy and seasonably cold with a chance for snow showers and flurries. High temperatures will be around 30 degrees. Snow showers will continue Tuesday night before ending early on Wednesday. Skies will become partly sunny on Wednesday and it will turn a little colder as high temperatures drop back to the middle 20s.
Milder weather is expected for the end of next week. Thursday will be partly sunny and windy with high temperatures in the upper 30s. Friday will be variably cloudy, windy, and mild with a chance for a few rain showers. High temperatures will reach the lower to middle 40s.
