The most recent computer models show the storm for today and Wednesday tracking farther north. Today will be mostly cloudy and windy with snow developing, but snow may change to sleet and eventually to rain from Dane County and areas to the south and east. A period of heavy snow is possible north and west of Wisconsin Dells. High temperatures will range from the lower 30s near Wisconsin Dells to the middle to upper 30s from Dane County to the south and east.
Tonight will be mostly cloudy and breezy with mixed precipitation changing to snow showers and flurries. Snow amounts through tonight are expected to be 1-3" from Madison to the south and east, 3-6" north and west of Dane County, and 6"+ northwest of Wisconsin Dells.
Wednesday will be mostly cloudy, breezy, and colder with a scattered snow showers and flurries. Additional accumulations of 1-2" are possible. Temperatures will start near 30 degrees, before holding steady or falling into the upper 20s during the day.
Thursday will be partly sunny and colder with high temperatures in the lower 20s. There is a chance for flurries Thursday night. Friday will be variably cloudy and not as cold with high temperatures near 30 degrees.
Saturday will be mostly cloudy and breezy with scattered flurries and high temperatures in the lower 30s. Sunday will be partly sunny and pleasant with high temperatures in the middle 30s.
Monday will be mostly cloudy, breezy, and colder with snow showers and flurries developing. High temperatures will fall back to the middle 20s.
