Skies will become partly sunny this afternoon with highs in the middle 30s. As southwesterly winds begin to pick up tonight, our low will fall into the upper 20s early, but then temperatures will hold steady or slowly rise overnight.
Milder temperatures will return this weekend. Saturday will be mostly sunny and very mild with high temperatures reaching the lower to middle 50s. A low pressure system will move into the area on Sunday, but we will be on the mild side of the storm for much of the day. Skies will be partly sunny Sunday morning before becoming mostly cloudy on Sunday afternoon. Highs will be near 50, but may fall late in the day as a cold front sweeps through. When the cold front arrives, rain showers will develop late Sunday and may mix with some snow Sunday evening before ending overnight and it will become windy behind the front.
After that system passes, Monday will be variably cloudy, breezy, and mild with high temperatures in the middle 40s.
The next weather system will move into the Midwest on Tuesday, but the placement of the system is very much up in the air. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy and breezy, and there is a chance of snow showers, possibly mixing with some rain, mainly south of Madison, all dependent on the eventual track of the system. Highs will be in the mid 30s.
On Wednesday, skies will be partly sunny, and it will be colder with high temperatures near 30. Thursday will be variably cloudy with a chance of light snow or flurries and highs in the lower 30s. Friday will be partly sunny and a little milder with highs in the mid 30s, and another chance of rain or snow will develop Saturday with highs remaining in the mid 30s.
