Milder temperatures will return this weekend. This afternoon will be mostly sunny, breezy, and very mild with high temperatures in the middle 50s. The record high for Madison is 58 degrees. set in 1976.

Tonight will be partly cloudy and milder. Temperatures will fall to the upper 40s by late evening; low temperatures will fall to the lower 40s by morning.

A low-pressure system will move into the area on Sunday, but we will be on the mild side of the storm for much of the day. Skies will be partly sunny Sunday morning before becoming mostly cloudy on Sunday afternoon. High temperatures will be in the lower 50s, but may fall late in the day as a cold front sweeps through. When the cold front arrives, a chance of a few rain showers will develop late Sunday and it will become breezy.

After the system passes, Monday will be partly sunny, breezy, and mild with high temperatures in the middle 40s.

The next weather system will move into the Midwest on Tuesday, but the path of the storm is somewhat uncertain. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy and breezy with snow developing, possibly mixing with rain, mainly south of Madison. High temperatures will be in the middle 30s with temperatures holding nearly steady or slowly falling later in the day. 

On Wednesday, skies will become partly sunny, and it will be colder with high temperatures near 30 degrees. Thursday will be variably cloudy with a slight chance of flurries and high temperatures in the lower 30s. Friday will be partly sunny and seasonably cold with high temperatures in the middle 30s.

For next weekend, Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a chance of snow showers, possibly mixed with rain and high temperatures in the middle 30s. Sunday will be partly sunny and seasonably cold with high temperatures in the upper 30s.
