This afternoon will be variably cloudy and breezy with highs in the middle 40s. A cold front moving through the state will cause temperatures to fall into the 30s this afternoon. Low pressure moving out of the west will arrive tonight into Tuesday with snow showers. Currently it looks like accumulations may range from 1-3" in areas north of Madison, and 3-6" for Madison and areas to the south. Temperatures will fall into the lower 20s tonight. Blowing snow in addition to the falling snow may make the Tuesday morning commute a bit dicey. Highs on Tuesday will reach the upper 20s with snow ending midday.
Skies will be partly sunny on Wednesday and it will be cold with highs in the upper 20s. A chance for light snow or flurries will develop Wednesday night. Thursday will be variably cloudy and continued cold with a chance for snow showers or flurries as a wave of low pressure passes south of Wisconsin. Highs will be near 30 degrees. Friday will be partly sunny and not quite as cold with high temperatures in the lower to middle 30s. A chance for snow showers will develop Friday night.
Temperatures will be on the rise again for the weekend. Saturday will be mostly cloudy with a chance for rain and snow showers, mainly in the morning. Highs will reach the upper 30s. Sunday will be partly sunny and a little milder with highs reaching the middle 40s.
