Today's winter storm will continue to head to the east tonight. Any flurries east of Madison will end early this evening otherwise skies will become mostly clear and it will be colder. Temperatures will fall to the middle teens by late evening; overnight low temperatures will fall to the upper single digits by morning.

Wednesday will be partly sunny and cold with high temperatures in the upper 20s. Skies will become mostly cloudy late in the day southwest of Madison, where some snow showers may develop toward evening. Snow showers and flurries are likely on Wednesday night.

Thursday will be mostly cloudy with snow showers and flurries ending in the morning. Skies will become partly sunny Thursday afternoon. It will remain cold with high temperatures in the lower 30s.

On Friday, expect increasing cloudiness with snow showers developing late in the day. High temperatures will reach the lower 30s. Snow will be likely Friday night, but should come to an end on Saturday morning. Skies will become partly sunny on Saturday afternoon with high temperatures in the middle to the upper 30s.

Milder weather will arrive next week. Sunday will be partly sunny, breezy, and milder with high temperatures reaching the middle 40s. Monday will be mostly cloudy, breezy, and milder with scattered rain showers; high temperatures will reach the lower 50s. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy, windy, and even milder with scattered showers; high temperatures will reach the upper 50s. Showers and thunderstorms are likely on Tuesday night.

Any flurries east of Madison ending early, otherwise becoming mostly clear and colder.
