Today will be cloudy, windy, and colder with snow tapering to flurries and ending late in the day northwest of Madison. Elsewhere, sleet and freezing rain will transition to snow as the low passes by and colder air moves in. High temperatures will be in the middle 30s. Total snow accumulations will be heaviest north of Wisconsin Dells with 6-10"+. Snow totals will rapidly decrease south of Wisconsin Dells with 3-6" possible north of Dane county and 1-3" in Dane county and points south.

Any snow will end this evening before skies become mostly clear overnight, and it will be colder. Low temperatures will fall into the lower 20s by morning. Friday will be partly sunny and not quite as cold with high temperatures in the lower 40s.

Saturday will be mostly cloudy with scattered rain showers developing in the afternoon. High temperatures will reach the middle to upper 40s. Rain may mix with snow late Saturday night. Easter Sunday will be mostly cloudy and seasonably cool with a chance of rain showers early and again later in the day, although the rain may be mixed with snow early in the morning and again at night before ending. High temperatures will reach the middle 40s. 

Monday will be partly sunny and seasonably cool with high temperatures in the upper 40s. Milder air will return Tuesday with partly sunny skies, and it will become breezy. High temperatures will return to the lower 50s.

Another storm will move into the Midwest toward the middle of next week, bringing warmer weather. Wednesday will be variably cloudy, windy, and milder with a slight chance of showers. High temperatures will be near 60 degrees. Showers and thunderstorms will become likely on Wednesday night and continue on Thursday. It will remain windy and mild with highs in the upper 50s.

Friday will be partly sunny, breezy and cooler with highs in the upper 40s.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY is in effect until noon for northeastern Iowa, and southwestern Wisconsin. In Iowa, this includes the counties of ALLAMAKEE and CLAYTON. In Wisconsin, this includes the counties of RICHLAND, CRAWFORD, and GRANT.
