As the storm system moves away from Wisconsin this afternoon, it will be mostly cloudy and very windy with lingering isolated showers. High temperatures will be around 50. Winds may gust as high as 55 MPH at times. Tonight will become colder with a slight chance of showers, possibly mixing with snow north of Madison. Winds will remain strong in the evening, and temperatures will fall into the upper 30s.

Cooler air will continue to slide across the region Thursday through the weekend. Thursday will be mostly cloudy, breezy, and colder with isolated rain showers, possibly mixing with flurries early Thursday morning, and again Thursday night before ending. Highs will reach the lower 40s. Friday will be variably cloudy and seasonably cool with high temperatures in the lower 40s.

For the weekend, a weak weather system will move through the Midwest on Saturday, with variably cloudy skies and a slight chance for some drizzle or flurries. High temperatures will be near 40 degrees. Skies will be partly sunny on Sunday with highs remaining near 40.

Warmer air will return next week as another strong storm system develops to our west. Monday will be partly sunny and seasonably cool with highs in the lower to middle 40s. Tuesday will be increasingly cloudy, breezy and milder with scattered showers developing as the next weather system approaches. Highs will be near 50.

As that system moves in on Wednesday, it will be breezy and mild with showers and thunderstorms developing later in the day and highs in the mid to upper 50s. Thursday will be partly sunny and cooler again with highs in the mid 40s.
