This afternoon will be increasingly cloudy and cold with high temperatures in the upper 20s. Snow showers and flurries are likely tonight, mainly south of Madison. Accumulations around 1" are possible tonight through Thursday morning. Thursday will be mostly cloudy with any snow showers and flurries ending in the morning and some clearing possible in the afternoon. Highs will be in the lower 30s.

On Friday, expect increasing cloudiness with light snow and flurries developing late in the day. High temperatures will reach the lower to middle 30s. Snow will be likely Friday night, but should come to an end on Saturday morning with some minor accumulations likely as well. Skies will become partly sunny on Saturday afternoon with high temperatures near 40.

Milder weather will arrive next week. Sunday will be partly sunny, breezy, and milder with high temperatures reaching the upper 40s. Monday will be mostly cloudy, windy and very mild with scattered rain showers and highs reaching the middle 50s. Tuesday will be mostly cloudy, breezy, and even milder with scattered rain showers and highs in the upper 50s to around 60.

Chances of showers will continue Wednesday and Thursday as well, but so will the mild temperatures. Highs will be in the mid 50s Wednesday and near 50 on Thursday.
