A strong low pressure system will move through Wisconsin today and tomorrow. Today will be mostly cloudy, windy, and continued mild with scattered showers and a few thunderstorms. Highs will reach the middle to upper 50s, and winds will be gusty out of the south. Showers and thunderstorms will become more widespread tonight. Lows will remain mild, in the lower 50s. Showers will continue into Thursday. Highs on Thursday will reach the lower to middle 50s before temperatures fall in the afternoon behind the cold front. Friday will be variably cloudy and cooler with scattered light rain and drizzle. High temperatures will drop back to the middle 40s.
Chilly air will move across Wisconsin for the weekend into early next week. Saturday will be mostly cloudy, windy and chilly with a chance of light rain or snow, mainly in the morning, with some clearing possible in the afternoon. Highs will only reach the lower 40s. Sunday will be increasingly cloudy and breezy with a chance of rain showers developing late in the day and highs in the lower to middle 40s. The rain showers may mix with sleet and freezing rain Sunday night.
Rain/sleet/freezing rain will come to an end early Monday. The remainder of Monday will be breezy and chilly with highs in the middle 40s and some clearing possible in the afternoon. Tuesday will be partly sunny and not quite as cool with highs near 50 degrees.
Another storm system will move into the area next Wednesday and Thursday, leading to showers and thunderstorms returning to the area.
